Asset & Portfolio Management
Discretionary and advisory portfolios via independent managers — multi-currency, with total cost of ownership and any intermediary remuneration disclosed.
ASJ Group does not manage money. We design the mandate, select the independent regulated managers and custodians who will run it, and then monitor them on your behalf — which is a different job, and one that is impossible to do honestly while also selling the product.
Mandates are built multi-currency from the start. A family earning in dirhams, spending in sterling and funding education in dollars has a currency problem before it has an investment problem, and portfolios that ignore that mismatch quietly underperform the household's real liabilities.
Costs are quoted as total cost of ownership: manager fee, platform fee, custody, underlying fund charges and transaction costs, in one number. Any intermediary remuneration is disclosed and offset in your favour.

Questions we hear on every intake call.
- Discretionary or advisory?
- Discretionary suits clients who want decisions delegated within an agreed policy; advisory suits those who want to approve each change. Cost and response speed differ, and we set out both before you choose.
- Who holds my assets?
- A regulated third-party custodian, in your name or your structure's name. Neither ASJ Group nor the manager takes custody of client assets.
- Can the portfolio hold multiple currencies?
- Yes. Mandates are typically built around a reference currency with hedged or matched sleeves for known future liabilities such as school fees or property purchases.
- Do you receive anything from the managers?
- No. Any retrocession or rebate offered by a manager, platform or fund is disclosed and passed back to you.
Start with a twenty-minute call. Leave with a written scope.
Every engagement begins with a director — not a junior, not a chatbot. Fixed fees, quoted in writing, before any work begins.
