Service category · Licensing

Licensing Services. Explained before anything is built.

Fintech, VASP, EMI, PSP and iGaming licensing sequenced with banking, payments, controls and regulator expectations.

Category overview

Licensing is never only a regulator filing. A licence has to support banking, acquiring, safeguarding, KYC, AML, governance and the commercial markets the business intends to serve.

ASJ Group helps founders and operators choose the jurisdiction, build the application, prepare the control framework and coordinate the counterparties that make the licence usable after approval.

We write applications in regulator language: capital, people, systems, outsourcing, financial crime controls and wind-down planning are documented before the file is submitted.

What this page covers

The decisions that make this category work in practice.

Regulator fit

Jurisdiction choice is based on product, markets, ownership, capital, regulator timeline and post-licence operating cost.

Banking and PSP sequence

Sponsor banks, safeguarding banks, acquirers and PSPs are mapped before application work begins.

Controls and people

MLRO, compliance, board, IT, outsourcing and safeguarding frameworks are built to withstand regulator Q&A.

Post-approval readiness

Go-live checklists, first audit preparation and operational controls are scoped alongside the licence filing.

Frequently asked

Questions clients ask before choosing a route.

Which licence jurisdiction is fastest?
The fastest jurisdiction depends on the activity, ownership, capital and payment stack. We do not recommend a regulator simply because it advertises a short filing timeline.
Do I need banking before applying?
For fintech, crypto and gaming, banking and payments should be scoped before filing. A licence that cannot bank or process payments is commercially weak.
Can you provide compliance officers?
We can introduce vetted MLRO, compliance, director and audit providers where a jurisdiction requires local or independent appointments.
